Avocado was awarded the ROEE program that separated and uplifted AMP's and BNP's investment management, trading and custody IT platforms. This included the integration of AXA into AMP and the migration of custody services from State Street to BNP Paribas.
This was a 6 year engagement toping out with a team size of 55 Avocado consultants supporting the engagement.
Following the merger between AXA Asia Pacific Holdings Limited and AMP, Avocado was engaged to conduct a staggered transition of their Custody, Registry, Unit Pricing and Accounting services from their incumbent custodian, State Street, to their new custodian BNP Paribas. Three transitions were completed for AXA’s Australian and New Zealand Life and Managed Funds businesses. Each transition involved an operating model and IT change to existing BNP Paribas and AMP strategic platforms, covering large data migrations, new and enhanced end-to-end system integrations, business processes and client onboarding. This also included a phased transition across 14 international unit trusts, completed to schedule and within budget, in conjunction with Certitude and LINK Market Services (registry provider).
Avocado stood up ANZ's Smart Choice super platform which provided Australia's first access to daily Superannuation balances.
This was a very challenging project with high visibility (both internally and across the Banking Finance industry). It required the first ever integration of Wealth platforms into Online Banking platforms to integrate and display realtime Superannuation balances to customers. To support this initiative, ANZ needed to stand up a new Registry system in record time (9 months) and migrate across to it from the existing legacy platform.
This included working with ANZ on their Property Settlements System with SAI Global.
Avocado provided professional services to ANZ Wealth to stand up their new GBST Superannuation Registry platform. This was initially scheduled as an 18 month project, however was revised to 9 months to take a first mover advantage in the market. The aggressive schedule meant Avocado had to redesign the approach to establish, configure, test, implement and change manage the rollout of this new to market service offering; which gave their customers the ability to check their superannuation balance daily.
The new platform also made ANZ competitive in the new "low cost" super model which ensured it remained competitive and retained it's market share. Avocado consultants coordinated with the ANZ Wealth division and IT Banking platform stakeholders to lead the integration and quality assurance components.
The project was delivered on time and is recognised by industry bodies for the ground breaking nature of the services provided and visibility it offered their customers.
Avocado delivered the Property Settlement Solution (PSS) and Online Meeting Room that enabled parties to virtually meet and settle property transactions online. Services included the project management, development, testing and rollout out the solution across the Finance industry. Avocado worked closely with ANZ and CBA to integrate PSS with their IT environment ahead of industry deadlines.
SAI Global won the contract to provide a national mortgage settlement services for ANZ in July 2011. The core elements of the solution required the introduction of a messaging interface to integrate with ANZ’s Integrity application and enhancements to SAI Global’s Electronic Search Manager (eSM) system. Avocado was engaged as a result of the successful implementation of the Bells Project which was a document imaging, messaging and workflow management system rolled out nationally.
The New Payments Platform (NPP) is the future for realtime payments in Australia. It is the highest profile national project carried out in Australia in the last 5 years and involves all of Australia's bank and Australian Deposit taking Institutions (ADI).
SWIFT won the contract to build the platform and Avocado became SWIFT's partner in the delivery of the Professional Services in the national rollout of the NPP. Avocado also provided professional services to the Reserve Bank of Australia and BP+C6AY.
Avocado provided professional services to include in the creation of the NPP service offering. This involved working in a complex integration environment with numerous industry stakeholders and a significant coordination effort to align the exchange and testing of payment files between participants (RBA, SWIFT, Wave 1 ADIs, BPAY).
Avocado also provided services in the analysis and quality assurance of the new RBA Fast Settlements System (FSS) solution that reconciles the NPP payment transactions between all ADIs. This was a high pressure environment working with all NPP participants and government stakeholders (including the Reserve Bank Governor).
Avocado also provided professional services to BPAY for the payments solution, placing Avocado in the unique position as the only consulting company to have been engaged across the entire E2E NPP solution.

Avocado is Service NSW's largest IT services provider for the roll out of their omnichannel portal for all NSW government services. The project established the online portal and entails ongoing integration to other government department systems for procuring all NSW government services from a single point.
This includes the integration across various government departments and IT systems with high stakeholder engagement and high visibility across State Government, NSW Parliament and the general public.
Service NSW's portal is now the model being replicated across the other states across Australia.
